2023 Mother’s Day weekend at the Saladmaster Perth office

Saturday: Fundraising for the Shrine of Our Lady of Revelations

It was a busy Mother’s Day weekend at the Saladmaster Perth Office this year.

The first ever fundraising event was held at the new office on the 13th of May, 2023. It was for the construction of the 12 Steps Devotional Garden at the Bullsbrook Shrine. The steps will begin near the car park, and then lead up to the existing Our Lady of the Revelation Shrine.

The cooking class cost $60, which included a 12-course meal, plus tea and coffee. Five of these 12 dishes were cooked live by some of the Saladmaster consultants to the delight of those in attendance.

The official program commenced with Welcome Remarks from Cheryl Anyayahan,  followed by the saying of grace by Father Alfonsas Pavcic. Other highlights of the event were; an antioxidant welcome drink, a silent auction, raffle draws, then the sales of essential oil products, plants, and beeswax candles. A very timely health talk was also given by renowned naturopath, Maria Arora, who was visiting Perth in between world tours.

The event organisers are very grateful to everyone who contributed generously to make this appeal a very successful one. They are also optimistic that awareness has been met about the 12 Steps devotion that aims to give devotees and all - joy, peace, inner healing and contentment in their lives.

Although this was a once off event, other fundraising events are already in the works to raise the target amount of $70,000.

Sunday: Celebrating Mother’s Day

After the fundraising event, the whole Saladmaster team got right back on their toes to re-decorate the office in time for the Mother’s Day celebration the next day.

Cheryl and her angels welcomed the 15 families attending the special occasion with a brief message, followed by the most awaited cooking show. The multi-cultural cooking demonstration featured different food, as showcased by their wide variety of consultants and owners. These included Bhutanese, Filipino, Singaporean, Chinese, African, Indian, Zimbabwean and Vietnamese dishes. Talk about food coma! It was most definitely a bountiful feast.

Throughout the afternoon, everybody grabbed the opportunity to have their family photos taken at the life-sized flower bouquet in the photo booth, special thanks to FujiMod studio for the amazing snapshots.

One of the distributors, Jlo and her mum, likewise charmed everyone with their special dance performance.

As a tradition of the generous dealers, the day ended with a raffle draw and the winner running away with the very handy Saladmaster electric kettle.

Everyone sure did have an absolute ball spending time with their loved ones, with the perks of being fed healthy Saladmaster dishes, plus learning new recipes from other countries.

As successful as it was, this will now be an annual event as a special gesture to celebrate mothers, together with mother figures in our lives as well. Director Tino Anyayahan has also proposed that the dads will have a cook-off and the mums will be the judges!
